Our expectations were very high and they were met on every aspect of the delivery from the initial contact with Reliance to the tie up at our marina. I am extremely grateful that you chose for us Captain Nicolas Boutteloup. Nicolas is young, energetic, extremely knowledgeable in all marine aspects, boat systems and the handling of catamarans. The crew of MIRELOS was made up of myself and my two sons. Sailing is not new to us but a big catamaran certainly was. Thanks to Captain Nicolas' teaching ability, patience and energy we are now confident in handling the big cat. The passage from France to the United States was accomplished against the weather patterns due to the start of the hurricane season, not the easiest of passages but accomplished nevertheless without incident. An extra bonus to having Captain Nicolas aboard was his formidable cooking skills, we always had good meals even in inclement weather. Whatever maintenance that had to be performed on board from going up the spar to diving under the boat were performed with energy and expertise. I can't say enough about Captain Nicolas performance. I now consider Nicolas my friend. I must also thank you personally for your patience and understanding in your contact with my wife when communications were interrupted. To Whom this may concern I recently contacted Reliance as the actory ready date on a L620 had moved back and our pre booked delivery skipper could not ccommodate the new dates. I needed the boat departure from Bordeaux to Hamble within a week of my initial contact. Within 24hrs Nick from Reliance had quoted and supplied a CV of the skipper that he proposed to use. They have done a very good job not only in delivering it on time, but they have tidied up the boat that it look cleaner than it was when we inspected it in Portsmouth. They have been very professional and polite. The hand over was very good. We got a detailed review that the boat was in good condition and they had made a list with things, which could be improved. Apart from the oil leak from the motors oil sump there is nothing immediately to be done. However, will give her a good spring manicure inside and outside. We let Mark and the crew stay at our house in Göteborg, as it was closer to the Airport for Sunday. Extract from Yachting World; At that moment, purely by chance a fax arrived from Nick Irving of Reliance Yacht Management giving some details of his delivery service. As his company delivers a large number across the Atlantic each year his credentials looked good, so i approached him for the job. Within days a skipper had flown out to St Lucia, two crew fresh from Tortola, BVI and they were on their way. About 30 days later almost to the promised minute Dash arrived in Dartmouth. Just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for hooking us up with Georges. Very professional, patient with us, interesting and fun to be around. We had a few boat problems (with the boat) and he's handled them calmly and efficiently, and his Portuguese language skills have come in handy often. So far, a perfect choice for this assignment, and I'm certain I'll be saying the same thing when we reach Trinidad. Now, if you could arrange just a little more wind, that would be great.
